ABOUT US
Crossgates Primrose Football Club is a Scottish football club based in the village of Crossgates, near Dunfermline, Fife. Members of the East of Scotland Football Association, the team have be playing in the East of Scotland Premier Division from 2019/20 season.
Originally established in 1926, our home ground is Humbug Park, its unusual name deriving from a disused pit of the former Cuttlehill Colliery on which site the ground now stands.
Primrose are a club with long tradition and a view to the future. We see ourselves as part of the community, working with our youth section and local organisations in seeking to improve football and sports facilities both within the Humbug and the village at large. We believe in giving young players a chance and fully support the work done in maintaining kids football in the village. For all we know, the future stars of tomorrow may already be playing with “Young Roses” today on their way to emulate our best-known former players, Scotland legend, Jim Baxter and his cousin George Kinnell.
In December 2018, Crossgates Primrose along with Crossgates Youth Football Club were awarded SFA Quality Mark.
During season 2021/22, Crossgates Primrose were winners of the Alex Jack Cup.
